We produce both a white Viognier and a red "Rouge" under this label:
2007 Incognito Viognier
The Viognier formerly known as Roussanne
|
A compelling mystery was unveiled when this varietal won the Rhone Wine of the World award in the 2000 L.A. County Fair. Originally thought to be Roussanne, D.N.A. testing found it to be a rare clone of Viognier. Somehow in the past decade the clone mysteriously made its way into the vineyards of California where it has since flourished in conditions that are reminiscent of its home - the Rhone Valley in France. The vineyard can now be found on a Lodi Delta island located 25 feet below sea level!

Unmask the Flavors:
Bright honeysuckle and jasmine jump out of the glass into a rich, fleshy mouth-feel. Flavors of pineapple and ripe apricot create a fruit medley of tropical-laced essence.
Hors d’ oeuvres:
Pair this mysterious Viognier with eggs Benedict and smoked salmon over Sunday brunch or cool down a spicy tuna sushi roll. A perfect wine to drink chilled just by itself!
"I once had a dream of peaches and cream,
But wasn't quite sure of what I had seen.
Noble and bold, like tales of old,
A bright burst of sunshine, this fine liquid gold.
Beautifully made, this sweet serenade,
Who is this unknown at the wine masquerade?"

2006 Incognito Rouge
|
The first of the Incognito brand to join the Michael~David Masquerade was our Viognier. But who would the white mask pair with at a party? The Incognito Rouge was produced to create another enticing mystery for the consumer. Our Rouge blend changes every vintage using very mysterious Rhone style varietals. Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignane are regulars to the bottle's enticement, but really, the only thing you can be sure of is that the contents will please your palate.
2006 Incognito Rouge is a tango of Mourvedre, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cinsault, Carignane, Tannat, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Grenache. |
Unmask the Flavors:
A mystery of elegant, smoky clove unveils layers of marmalade and toast that gently coat the mouth. This Rhone blend bursts with fresh blueberry and dried cranberry notes, finishing with a smooth myriad of tannins and spice.
Hors d’ ouvres:
Add depth to a wild mushroom stuffed pork roast or sip with gourmet cheeses and meats at the next soiree.
"I awoke from my dream, in a state of dispair.
I stifled a scream, and let out a swear.
I saw her last night, the Lady in Red,
Flushed with delight, and clearly unwed.
Dancing and swirling, with such practiced ease,
Dipping and twirling, like a rose in the breeze.
Attired in Rouge, so devishly displayed,
She smiled so true, at the wine masquerade." |
